WELCOME TO CRIME RING: A SUSPENSE THRILLER
AND NOW FOR SOME BEGGING
If you like mystery, thrills, suspense, action, and popular crimeseries television shows like Friends or Stranger Things, then you’re going to like CRIME RING – MY SERIALIZED THRILLER.
Yes, I refer to my story in different ways. Suspense Thriller. Serialized Thriller. Mystery Thriller. Action Thriller. Heist Thriller. Or…..
But the only reason I do that is because WordPress keeps making me change my keyword.
Like the old serialized shorts that ran before the feature film in the old days, CRIME RING’s story plays out in pieces, 3 chapters a week.
Crime fiction at its shortest serialized best.
Please read CRIME RING.
What the hell else do you have to do?
Previously on Crime Ring:
Chiefs Daniels has Charlie and Gina locked in a sparse, dank, dark, basement apartment in Salem, MA.
Daniels threatened to leave them in the apartment to rot unless they stole a ring for him.
Gina grabbed his gun so he would be forced to release them, but the gun turned out to be unloaded.
Charlie shocked and angered Gina by accepting the job. He agree they would steal the ring.
GINA was so angry with Charlie her auburn hair was crackling. Who was he to accept the job Chief Daniels demanded they do? She’d already refused.
Gina made it a policy to decline a job if threatened with a horrible death.
What would stop Chief Daniels from killing them after the job anyway?
The blueprints for the target house had been delivered to the apartment. Charlie’d spread them out on the coffee table that wasn’t in the last couple of chapters but suddenly appeared in this chapter because D. Ray realized he needed one.
Gina glowered on the couch she shared with Charlie. She searched her brain for a way to escape this tomb-like basement apartment.
Charlie and Daniels seemed unaware of her presence. They were busy discussing details of the job. Carefully examining the blueprints. Finding solutions.
Charlie acted like they were old friends.
Gina seethed. This was the first time she felt like she could set Charlie on fire and not care.
Watching Charlie, feeling the familiar jolt when he smiled, admiring the way he looked in all black, like Cary Grant in To Catch A Thief, Gina found herself thinking about the hotel safe they cracked on their honeymoon –
Gina stopped herself. No time for reminiscing. Eye on the prize. She had to get out of here. She wasn’t going to steal anything for this Daniels sleeze-ball.
Just as Gina was about to go for Daniels’ taser, something Charlie said caught Gina’s attention.
“It’s like a job Gina and I did in Toronto. Private house, just like this.”
We never hit a house in Toronto. We’ve never even been to Toronto.
Charlie glanced back at Gina, catching her eye for a just a tiny second.
Gina got all warm and fuzzy inside.
Charlie has a plan.
Tomorrow on Crime Ring:
